The course is available to those over the age of 19, living in the Bolsover district that are currently claiming benefits and out of work. The course is completely free with travel and childcare costs covered for the duration of the programme. During the course, individuals work with tutors to build a portfolio of employability evidence including CV’s and personal statements as well as taking part in a work placement scheme. The course will also give individuals access to specialist advice and guidance on areas such as debt, housing, healthy eating and benefits. Upon completion of the City and Guilds course, participants are awarded a certificate demonstrating their development and employability along with a £25 gift voucher.
