So why doesn't Alfreton Town Council scrap local parking charges and give local businesses more of an opportunity to compete with the likes of Tesco's!

Local shops offer choice and diversity. They should have the chance to play on a level playing field!

No parking fees would encourage more people to use Alfreton's shops - it's a no brainer!

According to Alfreton Facebook Fans page, there also planning to do the same at Somercotes!
