Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law has swooped to sign Robert Pacey, 20, following his release from AFC Telford United.
Dominant central defender Pacey began his career at Doncaster Rovers in October 2005 and was released in June 2007 after seeing out the last three months of the 2006/07 campaign on loan at Gateshead.
He had a pre-season outing with Halifax Town before joining Telford where he made 18 appearances up to Christmas with the promotion-chasing Bucks.
Pacey goes straight into the Reds' squad for this Saturday's Blue Square Conference North game at Hyde United.
